Wellbeing Ambassadors
Overseal Wellbeing Ambassadors
At Overseal Primary School, our Wellbeing Ambassadors play an important role in supporting a happy, inclusive school community where we value everyone. Their work reflects our mission that “Every child deserves a positive primary education” and our vision that “We all shine.”
Our ambassadors are fully trained for their role through the charity Changing Lives, ensuring they are well prepared to support their peers and promote positive wellbeing across the school. Their work contributes to a culture where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience, and respect for others, while knowing their voices are important and valued.
They have already led a number of meaningful initiatives, including introducing a buddy bench on the playground to encourage friendships, and creating valued voice boxes in accessible classroom spaces so that more children can share their thoughts and feelings when they need to. These projects help pupils feel safe, supported, and actively involved in shaping their school experience.
Wellbeing Ambassadors are proud of their role and are easily recognised by the lanyards they wear around school, helping them remain visible and approachable to others.
Each month, the ambassadors also support and contribute to a whole-school wellbeing assembly, helping to keep wellbeing at the heart of school life and encouraging all pupils to understand the importance of looking after themselves and others.
Through their dedication and leadership, our Wellbeing Ambassadors help ensure that every child feels heard, supported, and valued — enabling everyone in our school community to truly shine.
