The Overseal Primary Curriculum

Our curriculum intent: 

Our curriculum is ambitious for all pupils, including our most vulnerable pupils. It is designed to give children the knowledge, skills, attributes, values and cultural capital they need to achieve at Overseal and beyond.

On this page you will find our curriculum policies and an overview of the curriculum covered for each year group. For more detailed information about what we teach (including how we teach reading and phonics)  and for resources and information to support your child, please ask at the office or see your child's teacher.

Leaders' programme of professional development ensures that staff have the subject knowledge and skills needed to teach the curriculum effectively. Staff also precisely follow leaders' guidance about how best to adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities" Ofsted 2026
