Each week, your child will be set a piece of literacy and numeracy homework. The homework is set at an age appropriate level, in line with the National Curriculum. It is really important that your child spends time completing their homework, as it is set to consolidate their learning from the week. 

 

Children know that if they do not bring their homework in on a Wednesday, they will have to spend their Friday Golden Time completing the homework. If your child does not have time to do their homework, or needs a little extra help, they are welcome to attend Mrs Gorman's homework club during Golden Time or Homework club during Tuesday dinner time. Late homework that is handed in on Thursday or Friday will result in 5 minutes being lost.

Please come and let us know in Year 4 before the deadline on a Wednesday if your child doesn't understand or is struggling with their homework. If your child is struggling, then please encourage them to come and ask for help! 

 

Children are encouraged to complete their homework to the best of their ability and we encourage them to complete it with a pencil, unless they hold a pen licence.
