Achievement Outcomes
We All Achieve
Children achieve well at Overseal Primary School. We have a proven track record of enabling children to achieve well, as our data over time demonstrates. We have demonstrated over a number of years that Overseal supports all children, including our most vulnerable to achieve the expected standard and above. In recent years, our data has placed us in the top 20% of schools across all 3 subjects.
Data at EYFS, Year 1 phonics and KS1 are always in line or above the national data and this trend continued in 2026.
Our good outcomes in achievement are a trend over time and reflects the hard work of staff, pupils and parents.

In 2026, our Year 6 class made strong progress for a class with 27% SEND needs and a high number of vulnerable children who we supported to achieve their best.
Achievement Data 2026
This year at Overseal, we have achieved so much and have every reason to celebrate. Living our vision that "We All Achieve", our children, staff and families have worked together to secure outcomes that are consistently above national averages.
In Reception, 79% of children achieved a Good Level of Development, compared to 72% nationally. In the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check, 90% of pupils met the expected standard, exceeding the national figure of 82%. In the Multiplication Tables Check, 62% of pupils achieved full marks, well above the national average of 44%.
At Key Stage 2, outcomes were equally impressive. 81% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics combined, compared to 63% nationally. In Reading, 92% of pupils achieved the expected standard compared to 75% nationally, and 42% achieved the higher standard compared to 33% nationally.
