Year 6 really enjoyed working with the team from ‘Art in the Park’ in Derby to create beautiful up-cycled, découpage lights using old jars. We made these for our school Vision and Values day to match one of our school visions that ‘We all shine’.
We also designed and created memory box sculptures on the themes of ‘we all achieve’ and ‘we all shine’ to celebrate our school Vision and Values day. We thought carefully about how we have shone throughout our time at Overseal and we tried to use symbolism to help showcase our ideas.
Bikeability
June 2026
Year Six enjoyed taking part in bikeability sessions where they perfected their cycling proficiency, and as part of their level 2 training, they learnt how to cycle on the road safely.
R.E.

In R.E we have been learning about why some places are special to people. In this lesson, we explored why Jerusalem is significant for Muslim, Christian and Jewish people. Once researched, we created one-page fact-files to showcase what we had learnt.
