Our Shine Cultural Passport
Our Shine Cultural Passport
At Overseal Primary school we value everyone. We want all children to achieve. It is also part of our school vision for every child to have the opportunity to shine. When devising our curriculum, we think very carefully about the rich and broad experiences we want our children to have access to as they moved through the school. The aim of our cultural, shine passports is to enable children the chance to shine, to build cultural capital through experiences they may not otherwise have had and to simply deliver a fun-filled and positive primary education experience.
We have a set of whole whole experiences and a set of experiences for each class also. These can range from: author visits, theatre trips, a visit to a university, learning to ride a bike, everyone having the chance to learn to play a flute, to smores on a camp fire and enjoying a teddy bears' picnics. As our curriculum evolves, these experiences may change.
Below are examples of our Shine, Cultural passports.
