Welcome
Hello and welcome to the Overseal Primary School Website.
This website aims to offer a window into our school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. We hope that most of the information that you need to know will be contained in the following pages; if not give us a call or drop us an email and we will do our very best to help.
We are extremely proud of our school. We are proud that Ofsted, in 2026,recognised that "Pupil thrive at this school. They appreciate the highly inclusive school community within which all are valued." At Overseal our fundamental belief is that all children deserve a positive primary education. This has shaped our school vision to be 'We value everyone, We all achieve and We all shine'. Our SATs results are usually in line with national data or above, placing us before, such as in 2024, in the top 20% of schools for achievement nationally. In our previous five OFSTED inspections (dating back to 2003), we have been judged as a good school with high standards both academically and socially.
We value every child and get to know them all well. We value every member of the school community and do all we can to foster a sense of belonging, well- being and inclusion. "Leaders have a remarkably detailed understanding of the needs of disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND." (Ofsted 2026) We encourage all children to work hard in all they do-'we work hard' is a core value. We do have very high expectations of our children and work closely with parents, carers and the wider community to ensure all children achieve at Overseal. We believe all children can achieve and we seek to break down any barriers for all learners.
Our core values are to be kind and create a happy school in which children can shine. We develop the whole child, build character, aiming to create happy memories, opportunities for enrichment and a positive start for every child during their primary experience. We carefully plan how each year group will develop each child's cultural capital through our Overseal Cultural Shine passports. These provide memorable opportunities each year: such as to take part in a teddy bears' picnic or to go on a school residential. This ensures every child has the opportunity to shine at Overseal.
We believe that we can only achieve the best for your child by close co-operation between home and school. Throughout their time at Overseal Primary, there will be many opportunities for you to share in your child's education and celebrate their successes. There may also be times when parents have concerns or worries and we hope you will always feel welcome to contact us at school to discuss them.
We fundamentally believe that every child deserves a positive Primary education which is why we strive to deliver a school which values everyone and where all can achieve and shine.
If you would like to visit school, please ring for an appointment and we will be pleased to show you around and answer any questions that you may have.
