Computing systems and networks: Search engines
In this unit we have explained what a search engine is and suggested several search engines to use and explained how to use them to find websites and information. We have discovered that things online are not always true and recognised what to check for.
Autumn 2
Programming: Music
In this unit we have recognised that Scratch is a coding application with music elements. We have coded a soundtrack using sound blocks, loops and nested loops to enhance a scene. We have used loops to simplify a program and understand that nested loops can repeat a rhythm or pattern.

Spring 1
Data Handling: Mars Rover
In this computing unit we will be identifying some types of data the Mars Rover could collect. We will also learn how the Mars Rover transmits the data back to Earth and the challenges involved.
Spring 2
Programming 2: BBC micro:bit
In this unit we have programmed a physical system that has the capability for sensory input. We have learnt how to connect and test a micro:bit and programmed different codes.
