Year 4 children will be given literacy and maths homework every Friday and it needs to be completed and handed in by the following Wednesday. The homework is set at an age appropriate level, in line with the National Curriculum.

 

If your child does not have time to do their homework, or needs a little extra help, they are welcome to attend the homework club during Tuesday dinner time.

 

Children know that if they do not bring their homework in on a Wednesday, they will have to spend their Friday Golden Time completing the homework.  Late homework that is handed in on Thursday or Friday will result in 5 minutes being lost per piece. 

Please come and let us know in Year 4 before the deadline on a Wednesday if your child doesn't understand or is struggling with their homework. If your child is struggling, then please encourage them to come and ask for help! 

 

Children are encouraged to complete their homework to the best of their ability and we encourage them to complete it with a pencil, unless they hold a pen licence.
