Reception looked at the work of the artist Andy Goldsworthy, who creates land art sculptures from natural materials. He uses resources such as leaves, flower petals, sticks, stones, feathers, ice and anything else which is natural and can be found on the ground.
We have made our own festive sculptures, using a variety of natural resources found around school. First, a shape was drawn on paper, such as a star, a triangle for a tree, a circle for a bauble and a square for a present. The children filled in these pictures, working as a group to organise where they wanted to place the natural resources. The finished designs look spectacular, as you can see below! Well done everyone!
