Week 14 - commencing 13th July
Well, here we are in the last week of Year 5!
It has been a peculiar year for us, with floods, moving to the library and of course, Covid-19 and the school closure.
I wish that you could have been in school and in Team Lego for the whole year, but I am still grateful that I was able to be your teacher for part of the year: you have all been amazing to teach and I am incredibly proud of each and everyone of you and how well you have coped with the changes and differing circumstances we have faced over the year.
I know Mrs Borrington is super-excited to have you join her in Year 6 in September and I have no doubt that you will all shine brightly.
Thank you for being such a wonderful class and have a brilliant holiday!
Each day, please can you:
Read for at least 10 -15 minutes.
Practise your times tables for 10 to 15 minutes on Times Tables Rock Stars.
Do 30-60 minutes of exercise. You could have a go at the PE below.
Complete the Maths, Literacy and topic tasks.
PE with Derbyshire School Games
The School Games Organiser network and Active Derbyshire are working together to create and publish a weekly programme of activities to help children, just like you, to keep active whilst schools are closed and we are having to stay at home.
This week, they have created a series of activities around racket sports!
Open the document below to find a daily activity and lots of tips and guidance on how to do it. There's a bit of a quiz to get you started, then each day, you'll find a challenge. If you keep scrolling down, you'll find instructions and helpful diagrams to show you what to do.
Why not involve your family? You can all keep active and get active together?
Don't forget to send photos of how you get on to email@example.com - it's great to see what you are all up to and how you're getting on!
