Week 13 - commencing 6th July
Hello Year 5 (nearly Year 6!)
Here we are in our penultimate week of school before we break up for the summer holidays!
Last week I received some absolutely brilliant super-hero narratives - thank you!
Let's try and keep up the hard work and continue to produce some work you can be proud of as we near the end of Year 5.
On Wednesday this week, you will be having a 'transition day' into Year 6. Obviously you cannot come into school and visit the classroom in person, but we have created a transition page where you will get to meet Mrs Borrington and take a look around your new classroom - I think you'll like it!
Simply click on the link when you go into Wednesday's work and it will take you to the Year 6 page.

Each day, please can you:
Read for at least 10 -15 minutes.
Practise your times tables for 10 to 15 minutes on Times Tables Rock Stars.
Do 30-60 minutes of exercise. You could have a go at the PE below.
Complete the Maths, Literacy and topic tasks.
Practise your weekly spellings: Category, Cemetery, Horrify, Simplify, Mystify
PE with Derbyshire School Games
The School Games Organiser network and Active Derbyshire are working together to create and publish a weekly programme of activities to help children, just like you, to keep active whilst schools are closed and we are having to stay at home.
This week, they have created a series of activities around 'a family sports' day'!
Open the document below to find a daily activity and lots of tips and guidance on how to do it. There's a bit of a quiz to get you started, then each day, you'll find a challenge. If you keep scrolling down, you'll find instructions and helpful diagrams to show you what to do.
Why not involve your family? You can all keep active and get active together?
Don't forget to send photos of how you get on to firstname.lastname@example.org - it's great to see what you are all up to and how you're getting on!
