Lesson 3 - Converting units of time

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

The links are below:

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/zhgppg8/year-5-and-p6-lessons/1

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson.

Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.

Memories!

I want you to take a trip down Memory Lane.

Think way back to when you first entered the year 5 classroom as a new member of Team Lego in September 2019.

Can you recall:

  • What did the classroom look like?
  • What were you feeling about the new school year?

Now try to picture yourself as you moved through the year.

Can you recall:

  • Any particular topics or lessons you enjoyed?
  • The great flood of November and having to use the Library?
  • Christmas concerts?
  • The second great flood of February?
  • Our Open Centre visit?
  • School closure?
  • Home learning?

Go to your 2Dos on Purple Mash. You will find a 'transition memory book'.

Over the next two days (today and tomorrow) I would like you to recall your time in Year 5 and to complete the memory book.

You can add lots of pages, change the background and include writing.

Try hard, do a great job and make yourself proud of what you have created!
