Talk through the different stages and try and explain what is happening using some of the key vocabulary. Finally, writ a few sentences to explain some of the spider lifecycle.**

Key questions:

What is a lifecycle?

How is it similar to other lifecycles you have learned about?

What are the different stages?

Key vocabulary: egg sack, web, spin, silk, spiderling, adult

Things to remember to be a good writer:

  • Think about your letter formation (use letter families poster)
  • Are there any phase 3 digraphs/digraphs you can use in the words? (You could use your phase 3 sound mat)
  • Any longer words, remember to chop them up into parts to make it easier to sound out for writing
  • Finger spaces needed between each word

Wednesday Maths: Find half of numbers to 20

You will need: 20 objects for counting, a part part whole diagram drawn on a sheet of paper and a pencil to record your answers.

** Use your objects and share them out to find half of the passengers in the carriages. Record your ideas using a part part whole diagram **

If you would like another activity, then use the Powerpoint and your objects to share the amount of fruit between the parrots to find half.

Can you be a superstar learner and use the maths star words today?

*double, half, add, two equal parts, share between *
