Lesson 3 - Finding a half

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video. The White Rose website link below will take you to the correct page for Year 2.

Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book. The answers are there for you to check, too.

You can also visit the BBC website, following the link below, for additional videos and activities on today's lesson if you would like further support with your learning.

Today, we will be using the Oak National Academy resource. Follow the link below.

In this lesson, we will be learning how to identify syllables in words and sentences. We will be using the clapping method to do this. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.

At the end of the week, you will be writing a Haiku poem.

After you have completed the Oak Academy lesson, you could join in with the Super Movers video and song all about syllables.

Islam - Visiting a Mosque

Today, you will complete your work from yesterday.

I have put yesterday's information below. Remember to click 'hand in' today.

Last term, we started to learn about the religion of Islam in school. Today, you will be learning about a place of worship called a Mosque.

Read through the powerpoint and then complete the activity. Your task is to complete a leaflet, explaining what it is like to visit a Mosque. You will be working on this activity over 2 days (yesterday and today). You could make notes of your learning first before writing your sentences about what you have found out. I have put a word mat below to help you too.

Log on to Purple Mash. Click on the 2do 'Blank Leaflet'.

You will need to click on the green arrows at the bottom of the screen to turn the pages of the leaflet.

Can you include a heading and subheadings?
