Lesson 3 – Divide decimals by integers

This week we are starting a new topic on fractions.

You need to go click on the video link below which will lead you to, Summer 1 Week 5 because this is the learning we need to cover (don't worry we are not behind).

Today your screen should look like this so make sure you are working from the right page.

Watch the video as many times as you need to. Start the task and then mark your own answers. I have attached the question and answers worksheet below.

Literacy- Ruin

Today you are going to write a third person narrative. Your narrative will tell the story of the main character in the scenes you have watched. You could start your narrative as he is followed by the gyrocopter.

Before you begin I would like you to practice using an em dash to add a clause you wish to stand out.

Thumping, a fierce whirring of blades advanced- they had found him.

Entering the concealed tunnel, he weaved through the abandoned debris-the beasts behind gave chase.

In haste, Keir glued the firing arm to the tunnel roof-his final chance of escape.

When you are pleased with your dash sentence, begin your narrative.

Your narrative should be third person. write a different paragraph for the different moments and scenes. A paragraph about the warehouse, the approaching gyrocopter, the chase, the tunnel...

Email them to year6@overseal.derbsyhire.sch.uk

I look forward to readng them.

You could listen to the next chapters of Awful Auntie.

If you have missed the beginning, you will be able to catch up at the weekend if you go to:

Today finish your Isaac Newton writing task on Purple Mash.

Make sure you have written about the colour wheel and the actual colour of light in your Monday task. Send me a photograph of your colour wheels if you like to Year6@overseal.sch.uk. You can carry out some additional research on Isaac Newton's light discoveries and add them to Purple Mash. Before you hand in your written task ensure you have used some Year 6 punctuation like colons and semi colons.
