Lesson 3 - Divide 2-digit number by 1-digit number

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson (Wednesday 6th  May).

The links are below:

When you click on the White Rose link, this is the video you should see. The worksheets you need to complete are also there but I have downloaded them for you below.

Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.

Today, we’re going to be looking at identifying features of a text.

Click on this link for the lesson: IDENTIFYING FEATURES

There are several activities within the lesson all based on Newspaper Reports. The lessons will look a lot like the lessons you have in school! There are quizzes and videos and whiteboard slides.

Start the lesson with the quiz, you can check your scores, the click on ‘Next Activity’ on the bottom right of the screen. (The quizzes open in a new tab, so if you can’t move on to the next activity, you might need to close that window – ask an adult if you’re unsure.)

When you get to the main activity, there are questions to answer. I would like you to answer these in your workbook and if it’s not too much trouble I’d love to see some of your answers so if you can email a photo of your work to Year4@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk I would be very grateful.

It’s really important that we keep practising our writing – I imagine, if you’re like me, your handwriting is beginning to slip a little bit. Try really hard today to form letters accurately and to sit it on the line.

The lesson finishes with another quiz.

I have saved the images of the text slides and the questions if that is easier for some of you to use. These are below

As it will be VE day on Friday, I though it might be a nice idea to learn a bit more about it and get creative with some activities. I would like you to look at the information on the power point below and then load Purple Mash.

You will have a 2do named 'What I have learned'. I would like you to create an information leaflet about what you now know about VE day!

The activities below are crafty tasks I thought you might like to try. They are only optional so they only thing you need to complete is the task set on purple mash. These are just optional extras you may want to try today or to celebrate VE day on Friday.
