Maths - Lesson 3 - Related facts

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides and worksheets. The White Rose website link below will take you to the correct page for Year 2.

Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book. The answers are there for you to check, too.

You can also visit the BBC website, following the link below, for additional videos and activities on today's lesson if you would like further support with your learning.

Literacy - Instructions

This week, our literacy unit is instructions.

In this lesson, we will be writing a set of instructions for how to create a firework display (this refers back to the beginning of 'The Firework Maker's Daughter' we read last week). You will need a piece of paper, a pencil and your work from yesterday.

Follow the link below to access the lesson.

It’s really important that we keep practising our writing. Try really hard today to form letters accurately and on the line. Don't forget to join too! smiley

Send a photo of your work to year2@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk

The other teachers and I would also like to know how you have found using the Oak National Academy literacy lessons.

Is the website simple to use?

Are the videos and slides easy to follow?

Do the activities help you learn or revise what you already know?

Topic - History

As it will be VE day on Friday, I thought it might be a nice idea to learn a bit more about it. First, I would like you to read the information text below. This is differentiated so choose which text you would like to read.

After that, log on to Purple Mash. Click on the 2do called 'What I have learned'. Write sentences about what you have found out in this lesson about VE day. You could draw a picture too. Click in the picture box and the drawing tools will appear on the left. Remember to save your work and click 'hand in'.
