Link - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/

Click on the link above.

This will take you to the White Rose lessons for Summer Term 1 – these are the maths plans we follow in school, so you’ll be very used to the different methods and diagrams they use.

Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book.

The answers are there for you to check, too.

Your screen should display the image below when you get to the website. You can click on the links for the activity sheets and answers.

Literacy

In today’s lesson you will imagine you are Tony, and plan the different adventures you will go through on you own ‘radio flyer’ that you designed in yesterday’s lesson.

Think about:

  • If you could travel anywhere where would you go?
  • What would you like to see?

Topic - Purple Mash 2Type

Now, I would like you to try the Purple Mash To Do activities, as set for Wednesday, to test your keyboard skills.

Science

Plants

Today we are stating a new topic in Science where you are going to learn all about Plants.

The aim of today's lesson is to be able to name the different parts of flowering plants and explain their jobs.

Below you will see the link to the PowerPoint and a poster which shows the different parts of the flowering plant.

Task: You are going to draw a flowering plant and annotate the different parts of the plant using the PowerPoint and the poster to help you.

Extra Challenge: If you complete the task above and would like to do some extra work then you can explain the jobs of the different parts of the plant.
