Tuesday 16th June

Percentages as fractions and decimals

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson.

The links are below:

Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.

Why not try a bit of Go Noodle before staring your Literacy work?

Complex Sentences

Today I would like you to log on to the BBC Literacy Bitesize page.

I would like you to watch the videos that remind you what a complex and compound sentence is. You should watch these before you do any of the activities.

Then I would like you to do the activities in a slightly different way. Do the complex sentence task I have saved below. Check your answers by scrolling down on the sheet. Choose the level of challenge right for you 1 star work is challenge 1, 2 stars is challenge 2 and 3 stars is challenge 3 and the most challenging.

Then I would like you to plan and create your own ‘child’ character. Stacey Superstar believes she is a brilliant singer and entertainer, though others disagree!

Create your own child character with a talent (or not) and write a paragraph to describe them, you could also create an illustration.

I am really looking forward to reading these!

School and Hobbies

Today, we’re going to recap on some learning you may have started in year 4 – hobbies and school.

This is a lesson from 4th June, so make sure you follow the link below:

Watch the first video to find out how to describe your day at school.

Then watch the second video where ben will help you learn about hobbies in French.

Activity 1 is a quizlet to check you’ve been paying attention.

Activity 2 asks you to draw a map of Overseal School, using the French names for the different rooms – don’t worry, they are given to you, you won’t have to remember them!

Bon chance!
