Lesson 2 - Non-unit Fractions
Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video. The White Rose website link below will take you to the correct page for Year 2.
Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book. The answers are there for you to check, too.
Today, you will build your knowledge of word endings and develop your vocabulary.
Follow the link below and try the tricky word endings game.
Then complete the activities.
Activity 1 - Look for words with the endings er, ed, es, ll and ly in one of your favourite books.
Activity 2 - Finding out about rubbish. Watch the video and listen for unfamiliar words. Then find out what the unfamiliar words mean. After that, use three of the words in sentences and circle the words that use the word endings.
Activity 3 - Writing sentences containing word endings. When you go shopping, you will notice that food and drink comes in lots of different packaging. Record items under the given headings and then write sentences including some of the words. Follow the given success criteria when writing your sentences.

Islam - Visiting a Mosque
You will complete this work over Tuesday and Wednesday.
Remember to click 'hand in' tomorrow.
Last term, we started to learn about the religion of Islam in school. Today, you will be learning about a place of worship called a Mosque.
Read through the powerpoint and then complete the activity. Your task is to complete a leaflet, explaining what it is like to visit a Mosque. You will be working on this activity over 2 days (today and tomorrow). You could make notes of your learning first before writing your sentences about what you have found out. I have put a word mat below to help you too.
Log on to Purple Mash. Click on the 2do 'Blank Leaflet'.
You will need to click on the green arrows at the bottom of the screen to turn the pages of the leaflet.
Can you include a heading and subheadings?
