Let's start the day with a Go Noodle exercise:

Tuesday 9thJune

Lesson 2 – Understand thousandths

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

Don’t forget, you can watch, pause and rewind the video as you need to.

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson (Tuesday 9thJune).

Tuesday 9th June

  • I can look in detail at the language a poem uses.

  • I can read a poem and discuss the language used.
  • I suggest the meaning of the nonsense words used in the poem.
  • I can choose words to replace the nonsense words thinking about whether they make sense in the context of the poem.

Today, we’ll read the rest of the poem.

Watch the powerpoint and read the poem (both attached below).

What is the feel of the poem now?

What do we learn about the poem that we didn’t know from the first stanza?

Now, make a list of ‘I wonder’ questions – things you are unsure of or would like to know about the poem.  This is one of our inference skills and you should be used to doing this.

I’d like to know what your ‘I wonder’ questions are, so go to your 2Dos on Purple Mash. Don’t forget you will need capital letters and question marks.

TBAT understand about singing in harmony.

Today we’re going to be using the Oak National Academy for our music lesson.

It is from week commencing 18th May (Friday’s lesson) so make sure you follow this link to get to the lesson.

This carries on from the singing in the last lesson – I think you’ll enjoy it – I did!

Have fun!
