This will take you to the White Rose lessons for Summer Term 1 – these are the maths plans we follow in school, so you’ll be very used to the different methods and diagrams they use.
Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book.
The answers are there for you to check, too.
Your screen should display the image below when you get to the website. You can either click on the links for the activity sheets and answers, or I've put them below, too. (You will need to go on the website for the video, though.)
This will be our text for the rest of the week.
The Oak National Academy have developed a series of lessons for you to use at home. Let’s give them a go!
Today, we’re going to be looking at inference.
First of all, I would like you to read pages 1-4 below before accessing today's lesson. This will ensure you are up to date with the story so far.
I know it is Tuesday but I would like you to start with lesson 1 today. Don't worry, the link below will ensure you are in the right place. In this lesson, we are going to be making inferences from Chapter One of The Firework Maker’s Daughter. We will be reading pages 4-8. You will need your exercise book and a pencil.
There are several activities within the lesson - it will look a lot like the lessons you have in school! Listen carefully to the instructions on the video and remember you can pause the video or replay if you need to. You will start the lesson looking at some spellings and then you will look at the reading skill, read the text and answer inference questions. You will need to answer these in your exercise book.
It’s really important that we keep practising our writing. Try really hard today to form letters accurately and on the line. Don't forget to join too!
You could send a photo of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org
Topic - Geography
We will be exploring the UK (United Kingdom) today.
You will need to follow the link below which will take you to the KS1 BBC Bitesize page. You will need to watch the video clip, read the information, look at the pictures and try the practice quizzes to learn about the countries of the UK and their capital cities.
Then test your knowledge by logging on to Purple Mash and completing the two 2do quizzes so I can see how you got on.
- UK Countries
- UK Capital Cities
Try to see if you can remember without looking back at the video and practice activities you completed.
Can you name the four countries of the UK correctly?
Can you name their capital cities correctly?
