Lesson 3 - Reflection

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson.

The links are below:

Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.

Literacy

Story Explorers!

Today, you’re going to begin to create our own story setting. Try to consider what we have looked at already this week and what you read in the extracts by Katherine Rundell yesterday.

First, complete the questions sheet below.  This is the same as yesterday, but you fill it in with details about your OWN new setting.

Then, create your own map of the location/setting/world you have created.

I’d like you to annotate it – write notes describing the different parts and places.

I am really excited to see the settings you have created!

Use your imaginations!

Send completed maps and answer sheets to:

RE - Buddhism

Thursday 9th July

Why do Buddhists meditate?

In this lesson you will be learning about meditation. You are going to learn about why Buddhists meditate, how they meditate and you are even going to practise some meditation yourself.

You will follow the link below to the Oak National Academy to meet Miss Reid again.  Miss Reid is going to help you learn more about Buddhism.

Start the session with the quiz – what do you already know about Buddhism? What can you recall from the previous lessons?

Watch the video and complete the tasks in your exercise book as they come up.

Complete the on-line lesson with a quiz to see how much you’ve learned.
