Divide Decimals by 10,100,1000

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson.

The links are below:

Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.

Non Chronological Report Writing

We should have a good understanding of what a non-chronological report is and what it looks like by now. So, we’re going to start to plan and write our own non-chronological reports.

This activity will go over today and tomorrow, so take your time and really concentrate on doing a good job.

Watch the Powerpoint to remind yourself how to write a non-chronological report.

Then, think about a topic you are interested in or know a lot about. It could be an animal, a place or a sport, maybe?

You might choose to do some more research to ensure you have enough content to write your report.

Then, using the planning sheet below, start to plan what your report will look like. Think about the features and what information will go in different parts.

If you have time today, you could start to write it up. Don’t forget to open the ‘Writing Mat’ document for hints and help.

I’d like for you to either write your report in your exercise book or to type it. Whichever you decide to do, please remember I want to see how you have got on, so be prepared to send it to me tomorrow.

Who was Siddhartha Gautama?

You will follow the link below to the Oak National Academy to meet Miss Reid.  Miss Reid is going to help you learn about ‘Siddhartha Gautama’.

Start the session with the quiz – what do you already know?

Work your way through the video where you will learn all about Siddhartha Gautama.

Complete the quiz.

I’d like you to put the story of Siddhartha Gautama into your own words. You must consider these ideas:

Try to include elements of all of these, telling the story.

Go to your Purple Mash 2Dos. You can use the template to write this in your own words.

Please be mindful to include detail, punctuation and a range of openers.
