Thursday RSE: Growing up
The last few weeks, we have learned about the lifecycles of different animals and plants. What do you know about the human lifecycle?
**Look at the ‘Growing up’ powerpoint and talk about the different stages of human life. What is it like to be a baby/toddler/child/teenager/adult/elderly person? What can you do at these different stages of life and what can’t you do? Now complete the sheet by ordering the stages of growth. Or you could have more fun cutting pictures out of a paper/magazine or draw your own and label each stage.**
Q: How will you change as you grow up?
Q: What are you looking forward to about growing up/not looking forward to?
Thursday Maths: Compare weights of objects
You will need: objects form around your home e.g. shoe, toys, packets of food (things to weigh or feel the weight of) and scales if you have them.
**Find a box or a bag and collect some ‘treasures’ from around your house or collect some objects form outside! Have a go at comparing the weight of objects by putting one in each hand or using some scales. Have a go at recording the weight of your objects. You could sort the objects into a light and heavy pile. Can you pick 5 objects and put them in order from lightest to heaviest? **
If you would like another activity, then have a go at the home learning challenge.
Can you be a superstar learner and use the maths star words today?
