Lesson 4 - Finding a quarter
Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video. The White Rose website link below will take you to the correct page for Year 2.
Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book. The answers are there for you to check, too.
Literacy
Today, we will continue to use the Oak National Academy resource. Follow the link below.
In this lesson, we will be identifying the key features of a Haiku poem. This will help you when you come to write your own Haiku tomorrow. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil.
Send your work to year2@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk
Topic
We will continue to develop our typing skills today. I was very impressed with your scores last time on the 'beat the clock' game.
Go to your Purple Mash home page.
Then, follow the steps below.

I have put pictures below of what you should see on your screen as you follow the steps above.
Today, we will complete ‘Top Row Keys’.
There are three activities, ending in a ‘beat the clock’ game.
I will only set the 2do for the final game, but by practising each of these activities first, you’ll get better much quicker and begin to learn how to type properly.
You are able to alter the time to more or less minutes - it depends how you get on. Also, you might want to do some of the activities just the once, others more times. Can you beat your time? I know I kept wanting to beat mine!
Have fun learning to type!
