Lesson 4 – Percentages of amounts

This week we are starting a new topic on fractions.

You need to go click on the video link below which will lead you to, Summer 1 Week 6 because this is the learning we need to cover (don't worry we are not behind).

Today your screen should look like this so make sure you are working from the right page.

Watch the video as many times as you need to. Start the task and then mark your own answers. I have attached the question and answers worksheet below.

Literacy Ruin

Over the next two days I would like you to continue the story. What happens after the film? Aim to write at least two paragraphs. Ensure you are cohesive. Think about your paragraph openers. use opening phrases like After that,... A moment later,.... Be cohesive by opening a paragraph with an adverbial which links back to what has already happened:With the gyrocopter behind Kier,...

Remember we can also be cohesive by using pronouns later in a paragraph and not repeating the same nouns. Over the two days continue the story and edit and re-draft to ensure you are cohesive and then email to me at year6@Overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk. You could photograph and send me written work or type your responses.

Topic- Let us do some art just for fun.

Go to BBC Bitesize.

It is a lesson all about Andy Warhol. There are some videos to watch about pop art. Then open activity 1. You could print a picture of yourself and turn it into pop art if you have a printer. Or if not, you can design your own soup can like Andy Warhol. I would love to see some of your own pop art!
