Lesson 3 – Mixed addition and subtraction
You need to go click on the video link below which will lead you to, Summer 1 Week 3 because this is the learning we need to cover (don't worry we are not behind).
Today your screen should look like this so make sure you are working from the right page.
Watch the video as many times as you need to. Start the task and then mark your own answers. I have attached the question and answers worksheet below.
Today you could have some fun doing some sketches with Rob Biddulph.
Literacy: To be able to show parenthesis. In Year 6 you have learnt what parenthesis is so today is your chance to practice this again. I would like you to visit the Bitesize website.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zm7w7nb
watch the videos to help remind you about what parenthesis is. We know we can show additional information using commas, brackets or even dashes.
Then try the activity I have uploaded which is one of the Bitesize activities.
I would then like you to think about the formidable headteacher character that you have created. Can you please write some sentences using a parenthesis about them. Think about something sinister they could do.
With contempt, the headteacher (with her grey eyes, cruel eyes) glared at Anne.
Topic: Reading and Geography
In geography you have been learning about trade. Now we are going to focus our thinking to fair trade. I would like you to open the document below. Read the information (you decide your level of challenge, the more stars, the more challenging the task. Then answer the questions. Afterwards you can assess yourself using the answers given.
