Lesson 4 - Odd and even numbers
Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video. The White Rose website link below will take you to the correct page for Year 2.
Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book. The answers are there for you to check, too.
Literacy
Today, you will use your notes from yesterday's lesson to tell the story of Jimmy and Tree House.
I have put the video link below if you would like to watch the video again first.
Remember to write in the past tense.
I would like you to think carefully about your use of punctuation. You must always remember your capital letters and full stops. Can you include an exclamation mark today? (Think back to your learning in Monday's lesson.)
I would like you to use different sentence openers and describe how the characters felt too.
E.g. As soon as Jimmy arrived in the city, all he could think about was Tree House. He felt upset and guilty for leaving his friend behind.
Meanwhile, in the countryside, Tree House was determined to find Jimmy.
You can choose whether to write your story in your exercise book or type up your work.
I have put a sentence openers word mat below to help you.

Topic - Art
Today, we will be using Oak National Academy for our art lesson.
In this lesson we are going to be making a terrarium. A terrarium is like an aquarium, but for plants instead of fish. We will be making a simplified version of this terrarium, including items we may have readily available in our homes and gardens. Don't worry if you don't have all of the resources.
You may decide to do this activity on a different day or spend longer on it.
