Lesson 4 - Divide 3-digit number by 1-digit number

Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides, and worksheets. (I’ve also put the question sheet and answer sheet below.)

You can also visit the BBC Bitesize website for an extra video on today’s maths lesson (Thursday 7th  May).

The links are below:

When you click on the White Rose link, this is the video you should see. The worksheets you need to complete are also there but I have downloaded them for you below.

Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.

Literacy

Today, we’re going to write our own newspaper reports using everything you’ve learnt so far this week about them.

Click on this link for the lesson: WRITE A NEWSPAPER REPORT

There are several activities within the lesson all based on Newspaper Reports. The lessons will look a lot like the lessons you have in school! There are quizzes and videos and whiteboard slides.

Start the lesson with the quiz, you can check your scores, the click on ‘Next Activity’ on the bottom right of the screen. (The quizzes open in a new tab, so if you can’t move on to the next activity, you might need to close that window – ask an adult if you’re unsure.)

When you get to the main activity, you will have a chance to write your own newspaper article. I would like you to complete this in your workbook and if it’s not too much trouble I’d love to see some of your work so if you can email a photo of your work to Year4@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk I would be very grateful.

It’s really important that we keep practising our writing – I imagine, if you’re like me, your handwriting is beginning to slip a little bit. Try really hard today to form letters accurately and to sit it on the line.

The lesson finishes with another quiz.

Enjoy!

Topic - Wellbeing

Seeing as we can't have wellbeing Friday tomorrow, I thought I'd make today's topic activities about wellbeing.

If you go back to the Year 4 homepage you will see a tab for an Art project. I would like you to have a go at a bit of Art today by looking at the landscapes around you. It might be your own back garden but perhaps its somewhere you discover on a walk. Then using any medium you like, create a piece of art interpreting the landscape you find. I can't wait to see them.

Like always, please email me your art at: Year4@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk

If you don't want to do Art today but want to do something else for your wellbeing there are some activities I have uploaded below. Give some a try
