Well done Year 2 for working so hard again this week. Today is the last day of the week for home learning so make today a great one!
Tomorrow, have a happy Friday and make sure you have fun and relax!
Today, as you have been used to doing, you will first need to visit the White Rose website for the video slides and worksheets. The White Rose website link below will take you to the correct page for Year 2.
Watch the video slides – pause and rewind as you need to. Then, answer the questions on the activity sheets in your exercise book. The answers are there for you to check, too.
Literacy - Instructions
Log on to Purple Mash. Click on the 2do called 'Instructions Template'.
Write a set of instructions on a topic of your choice. For example, these could be how to bake something, how to play a game or how to make something - it is up to you. Make sure you include the features we have identified and used this week (heading, subheadings, adverbs of time and manner, imperative/bossy verbs, numbers and list of equipment). You could also use pictures or draw your own for each step.
Topic - Art
Today, we will be using the Oak National Academy resource for our art lesson.
In this lesson, we will be learning all about the artist Jane Perkins, she is a British artist who uses recycled materials to make portraits.
You will need some space and recycled materials or natural materials. Don't worry if you do not have access to any of these items, you can be creative with whatever you have at home e.g. toys, lego or colouring pencils for example.
Follow the link below to access the lesson.
It would be great to see your artwork. You might decide to spend longer on this activity or try it on a different day. Whenever you have completed your artwork, you can email a photo of it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Seeing as though we will miss our Wellbeing Friday tomorrow, I thought I would share a wellbeing craft activity you might want to try one day.
Having things to look forward to can make you feel happier and improve your wellbeing. Each time you think of something you would like to do in the future, write it on a piece of paper and place it inside your decorated jar.
