This year, we have looked at different sentence types. Today, you will be reminded of how to recognise and use command sentences.
Follow the BBC link below. Watch the short video and then try the quiz.
This week, we will have a pirate theme to our writing!
Now that you understand what command sentences are, I would like you to imagine you are the captain of a pirate ship and you need to give some orders (commands) to the other pirates.
Scrub the deck!
Load the cannons.
Write your own command sentences including imperative verbs and the correct punctuation.
I have put a pirate jobs word mat below to help you if needed.

Topic - Art
Today, we will be using Oak National Academy for our art lesson.
We will be studying a spectacular artist called Wassily Kandinsky. He was a Russian artist known for using lots of colours and shapes in his artwork. We will be recreating our own Kandinsky-inspired artwork. You will need some paints or colouring pencils for today’s lesson.
