Maths: This week our unit on angles continues. We build upon our learning and move on to angles in shapes.
This week every day you need to use The Maths Hub home learning page. You need to select Summer 1 Week 2 because this is the learning we need to cover (don't worry we are not behind) . Today your screen should look like this so make sure you are working from the right page.
Watch the video as many times as you need to. Start the task and then mark your own answers.
Literacy: Today the focus is figurative language. Head to the BBC Bitesize page signposted below. Watch the videos which remind you of the different types of figurative language we know. It also introduces hyperbole.
Then the task I would like to see you do, is to write a description about a member of the NHS team using figurative language which presents them with the courage and duty they have shown during this difficult time around the world. Try to use a simile, metaphor and hyperbole but present as a descriptive paragraph using different sentence types. I look forward to reading them. Please send to Year6@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk
Topic - CEOP – Staying Safe Whilst On-line!
Home Activity 4
We need to remember how to keep ourselves and others safe whilst using the internet.
Today, just like last week, all year groups will be doing some activities about staying safe on-line. I’d like you to follow the link below. It will take you to the ‘Think You Know’ home learning activity pack 4.
Work your way through the page.
Don’t forget you can share how you get on by emailing:
Thank you to the pupils who have sent me their internet safety work, I really like to see you engaging with the learning.
