Chapter Eighteen part 2
Maths - Lesson 3 - Perimeter of rectilinear shapes
When you click on the White Rose link, this is the video you should see. The worksheets you need to complete are also there but I have downloaded them for you below.
Just a reminder – the idea is that the BBC provides further support to help you learn, you will still need to complete the White Rose question sheet, and as always, you can check your answers.
Today it's time to have a go at activity 3 on recounts.
Now have a go at writing your own recount.
Choose from one of the titles below.
. My life so far
. How I found my hobby
. A funny story from my life
Aim to write at least three paragraphs with at least five sentences in each.
Remember: This time you do need to write in full sentences.
When you've finished writing, you could read your recount to a friend or family member.
. write in first person
. use the past tense
. keep in chronological order (the order in which things really happened - adverbs of time help with this)
. use descriptive words and expanded noun phrases
. focus on the most exciting parts
I have added the BBC Bitesize link below if you want to remind yourself about recounts. Once you have refreshed your memory I would like you to load purple mash and click on your 2dos. You will have a 2do named 'page border'.
I would like you to use the template to write your recount on the subject of your choice based on the suggestions. I recommend using font size 3 (anything smaller becomes a bit tricky to read). Once you have finished, you can then decorate the border of your recount.
I look forward to reading all your recounts.
Topic - Science
In Science this term we would have been learning all about the human body including teeth!
I would like you to look through the powerpoint below all about the teeth and their function. You can take notes if you wish as you may need them.
You will then open up your 2do on purple mash named 'healthy teeth'. You will need to describe all the different types of teeth and explain what their function is (this means what is their job). If you need any help with what to write you can hover your mouse over 'words to help' on the left hand side or you could go back and refer to the powerpoint you have looked through.
Once you have finished you can add pictures and then save your work so I can see it!
