Wellbeing

Today, you are going to explore the idea of dreams! Miss Rogers and Year 4 have already designed their own dream jars and I thought you would enjoy this lesson too.

There are two meanings for the word 'dream'. A dream is something we have when we go to sleep at night, like the dreams blown through the windows in the story of the BFG, but a dream can also be a personal aspiration or goal: something that we really want to achieve.

I'd like you to think about your own personal dreams. You might aspire to perform in a play or learn how to ride a bike or you may have a long-term dream such as what you want to be when you're older or a change you want to make to the world and environment.

Once you've decided on your personal dreams, I would like you to write them on the label of the jar (the document is below). You can then draw and colour what you think your personal dream will look like in the jar.

If you cannot print the jar picture off, you could simply draw your jar of any shape or size onto some plain paper.

I'd love to see your dream jars so please send them to me at year3@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk
