Arithmetic Test 9
Today, you will be writing a pirate poem. In your poem you will need to include onomatopoeia.
Onomatopoeia is a word which sounds like what it means. E.g. 'thud', 'boom' and 'buzz'.
I have put pirate onomatopoeia posters below to help you.
Remember your poem does not have to rhyme.
Log on to Purple Mash and click on the 2do 'Pirate Poem'.
I can't wait to read your poems!
Let's start the session with some yoga.
Make sure you perform the yoga poses on a carpeted floor or mat with enough space to stretch out your arms and legs.
Take a look at the animal yoga poses in the slide show below. Choose a few to try.
Be mindful of your breathing and how your body feels in different poses.
Now let's move on...
Today, we are going to think about the message 'be positive'.
Take a look at the pictures below.
These are what are called 'positive affirmations'. Positive affirmations are phrases that you can repeat to yourself to help you feel positive and happy.
Your task for today is to create your own 'positive affirmations'.
E.g. I am kind. I am proud of myself. I believe in myself.
You may wish to design a poster or record your work in a different way - it is up to you!
