Happy Friday, Year 2!
I hope you all have a lovely day.
Well done for completing another half term of home learning!
Enjoy next week.
Maths - Arithmetic
Please complete the arithmetic questions in your exercise book and then check your answers. If you got one wrong, can you work out why?
Are you improving each week? Which methods are you brilliant at?
Click the link below if you would like to remind yourself of the addition and subtraction methods we have used in class.
Today, you will be exploring a story. You will answer questions about the story, summarise what is happening and predict what might happen next.
First, watch the video of TV presenter Anita Rani reading an extract from 'Daisy and the Trouble with Life'.
Then, complete the activities.
Activity 1: Answer questions about the story. Read the extract and then answer the given questions. Remember to be a reading detective and look for clues and evidence in the text!
Activity 2: Summarise what is happening. Remember you are not retelling the whole extract, you are only writing the key points in order to form a summary.
Activity 3: Predicting what might happen. Remember to make predictions based on what has happened so far.
You can send a picture of your work to firstname.lastname@example.org
Topic - Wellbeing
Creating a mindfulness pattern is creative and relaxing. You have worked so hard all week and it is almost time for a well-deserved rest and week off. Therefore, this activity will hopefully help you to relax and feel calm.
You don't have to print the sheets, you could draw your own shapes and patterns on a piece of paper.
