Friday

Hi Year 4.

I am looking for some feedback about our literacy this week to see what you thought of it. I have set up a blog called 'Literacy' and have asked some questions so I'd really like to hear from you. If your parents or helpers have any feedback too, you can email our class email (Year4@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk). Getting ideas and hearing your thoughts about your learning at home really matters to me as I want to make sure you are finding it enjoyable and easy to navigate and use!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Complete the 'Arithmetic Test' below in your workbook, then check your answers.

If you got one wrong, can you work out why?

Literacy

This week I asked you to take part in the Gratitude scavenger hunt. There are a list of 20 things you could find which may make you feel grateful. I would now like you to present me your 20 things (if you couldn't find all 20 then don't worry, just write about what you found) in any way you would like.

This could be in poetry form or as a set of 'how to' instructions for 'how to be grateful'. You could present it as a diary entry or a letter to someone. I have made a photo montage of mine as well as some instructions and written down in rainbow colours. I will show you below.

Once you have created your Gratitude scavenger hunt, I would like you to post it on our class blog named 'Gratitude Scavenger Hunt'.

If you have created something which cannot be put on the blog, such as a picture or video clip, email your work to our class email (Year4@overseal.derbyshire.sch.uk) and I will know not to expect a blog post from you!

I can't wait to see your Gratitude lists.

Happy hunting!

Welcome to Wellbeing Friday!

Each Friday we will have an activity which is designed to help our wellbeing.  It’s tricky being socially distanced from our friends and a lot of our family, so we could all do with something to help us get through these difficult times.

Today, I’d like you to follow the link below. It will take you to the BBC Home Learning site for Y4. Click on the word 'Teamwork'

Teamwork

Work your way through the videos and then complete the activity using the downloadable resource, try to have fun and pay attention to what it says – it makes a lot of sense!
