Baking

Baking - Number 2!

Well done to all of you who have had a go at baking scones or who have sent in photos of your fabulous baking creations!

After last week's scone success, I have made chocolate brownies this week!

I wonder who will have a go at these, too?

If you do decide to have a go, you MUST ask for permission first and please make sure that an adult is around to help and supervise.

I got my recipe from Olive Magazine, below, but you could use any recipe for chocolate brownies you know.

Baking  - Number 1

I love to cook and do it all the time, however, I'm not known for my baking skills! Baking cakes and biscuits - or anything sweet at all for that matter - is not my strongest point. So, I have decided that I'm going to use this time to practise baking.

It is my Mum's birthday today (Sunday 3rd May) so I have started my baking journey by making her a batch of scones, which I will deliver to her doorstep, along with some clotted cream and a jar of jam.

Whilst I was making them, I realised how simple this recipe was and how it might be something you all might like to have a go at, too. I know lots of you have already sent pictures of your cooking and baking successes - these are in the Lego Stars Shine Gallery.

If you do decide to have a go, you MUST ask for permission first and please make sure that an adult is around to help and supervise.

I got my recipe from BBC Good Food, below, but you could use any recipe for scones you know.

If this is something you enjoy, I could try a different recipe next week. Let me know what you think, and please send me your photos!
