Our new topic for the Summer is landscape drawing. It would be wonderful, if you could go outside into your garden and draw what you can see. If this is not an option, choose a landscape photo off the internet and try to copy it. You can use any media you have available at home, such as pencils, pens, paints, collage or anything you can find.
You could even use natural objects, such as grass, twigs, leaves and stones to create a 3D landscape sculpture! Remember: no picking and no licking and give your hands a really good wash when you have finished. Don't forget to take a photo of your natural masterpiece!
Try to research some facts about famous landscape artists, such as Joseph Mallord William Turner, John Constable or Alistair Kennedy (who is a contemporary artist living in Burton!). Could you try to copy one of their pictures too?
