Remembrance Poetry Day

We wrote a class acrostic poem about poppies and Remembrance Day. We thought carefully about our word choices and also made the poem rhyme.

Poppies are worn with pride

Over the country far and wide

People died in both World wars

Please remember the 2 minutes silence, take a breath, take a pause

In the battlefields poppies grow

Every year they come and go

Soldiers and relatives are remembered

The children also worked in groups to write 'Blitz' poems.

Take a look at some of our work.
