Katie Morag Day

On Katie Morag Day, we read stories and wrote about our favourite Katie Morag book. Then we planned and wrote riddles for the rest of the class to guess. After playtime, we had our own Highland Games. We estimated how far we could throw different objects, including wellington boots. Then we measured how far we had thrown them using non-standard units (steps) and standard units (metres). In the morning, Mrs Summers made delicious flapjacks with us. After lunch we created tartan patterns by weaving paper. Finally, we watched Katie Morag and ate our scrumptious flapjacks!
